2025 WAEC GCE (Nov/Dec) Results Has Been Released
Results for 2025 WAE GCE (For Private Candidates) Has Been Released
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results for the 2025 Second Series Computer-Based WASSCE for private candidates on February 17, 2026. According to WAEC, 42.17% of candidates passed with at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics. Out of 65,752 students who took the exam, 27,727 got the required five credits.
WAEC noted that the pass rate dropped by 11.47 percentage points compared to 2024, meaning fewer students passed this year. However, the council explained that private candidates’ results cannot be directly compared with school candidates’ results because they have different study conditions and preparations.
The council stated that 61,943 candidates (94.21%) have received their complete results, while 3,809 candidates (5.79%) are still waiting for some subject results due to errors they made. WAEC promised to fix these issues quickly. Additionally, 1,899 candidates (2.89%) had their results withheld over suspected examination malpractice. These cases are being investigated, and affected candidates will be informed of the final decisions.
