2024 WAEC GCE Second Series Results Is Out

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of the 2024 WASSCE for Private Candidates (Second Series). The examination, which ran from October 25 to December 20, 2024, introduced two modes of testing for the first time – the traditional Paper and Pen option and a new computer-based hybrid mode. Out of 68,342 registered candidates, 65,023 sat for the examination across 5,067 centers nationwide.

The results show significant improvement, with 67.55% of candidates obtaining credits in five subjects or more, while 53.64% secured credits in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics. This represents a 9.35% improvement from the previous year. The examination body made special provisions for 157 candidates with various special needs, including visual and hearing impairments.

Of the total results, 95.90% have been fully processed and released, while 4.10% are still being processed due to various errors.
