WAEC Begins Registration for 2025 WASSCE (Private Candidates) First Series

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has started registration for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, also called the First Series.

WAEC announced this on their X account (formerly known as Twitter). They said interested candidates can now buy registration pins for ₦27,000. The pins are available at WAEC offices, selected banks, registration centers, and authorized agents across the country.

To register, candidates should visit the official WAEC registration portal at http://waeconline.org.ng.

WASSCE for Private Candidates also called the WAEC GCE, is for people who want the certificate but are not attending a regular school. Unlike the regular WASSCE, candidates do not need to wear uniforms. However, biometric registration is compulsory to make sure the process is honest and reliable.

Candidates are advised to register early to avoid rushing at the last minute.
