NABTEB stands for National Business and Technical Examinations Board, similar to how WAEC stands for West African Examinations Council and NECO stands for National Examination Council.
The Board was founded in 1992 with the sole responsibility of organizing craft level examinations that were previously conducted by City & Guilds, Pittman’s, and Royal Society of Arts, all from the UK, following the guidelines of the National Policy on Education.
NABTEB has various dedicated websites for its activities. to check your NABTEB results, you use this link https://eworld.nabtebnigeria.org/
Access to all other information pertaining to NABTEB will be found on this link https://nabtebnigeria.org
WAEC is meant for academic pursuit only which means you take the WAEC to obtain a certificate that will be used for the purpose of admission into a university
Even though they might request it when you apply for jobs in the future, your WAEC result is not primarily used for getting employment. On the other hand, NABTEB is useful for both getting admission and finding jobs. It’s main focus is on technical skills rather than theory. The NABTEB type used for professional and job purposes is called NABTEB Advanced or A’level NABTEB
There are four major types of Examination conducted by NABTEB:
The NABTEB Advanced Level Programme is a National examination equivalent to IJMB, JUPEB, CAMBRIDGE, OND and NCE.
After finishing the course (including ANBC and ANTC exams), you can get the JAMB direct entry form and be admitted directly into the second year (200 level) of your chosen course at any school that accepts it.
There are many NABTEB exam centers across the country where you can take the May/June or November/December NBC/NTC Certificate Examinations.
Visit such centers to get information about the registration process. The Ordinary Level NABTEB can be obtained at various vocational centers, continuous education institutes throughout the country, or some affiliated secondary schools near you. You can also find a list of federal government colleges that conduct NABTEB exams.

Just like D7 and D8 in WAEC and NECO, P7 and P8 are the equivalences.
If you’re filling an admission form that doesn’t show P7 and P8 options, you should take D7 and D8 respectively instead
The answer is “Yes”
All schools are mandated to accept NABTEB for their courses with exception of those that require your practical knowledge from secondary schools.
The only challenge here is when you want to apply for a school of nursing or related courses like health tech and hygiene etc. NABTEB may be rejected for these courses.
The answer is also “Yes”
Some schools allow this combination, but not for all courses. To find out if your desired school accepts this combination and for which courses, you should check the school’s admission page, visit the admission office, or refer to the JAMB brochure for clarification.
Yes.
For those schools and courses accepting NABTEB, you can combine these two.
It’s just like combining WAEC May/June and WAEC Nov./Dec or NECO June/July and NECO Nov./Dec.
You can only use a card for a registration number up to 5 times, meaning you can check your result on 5 different occasions.
Hence, if you just use your checker once, keep it for the future. You can still us it four more times
It is important to note that it is one card per candidate.
No way.
All candidates must buy a NABTEB result checker before you can check your result.
